M17 Silver Cover Winch Bumper with Dedicated Skidplate

Silver Cover Winch Bumper M17 is the new version of the notorius Modular Bumper of Equipe 4×4, built from the 2012 since the first half of the 2017.

Today, after 5 years is still one of the most innovative and interesting products on the aftermarket accessory for Land Rover, equipping the best Defender around the world.
This is the reason why during the 2017 to design a new version of the Modular Bumper and the M17 has been improved on the functionality and in the aesthetic aspect.

The aesthetic interventions on the Silver Cover Winch Bumper M17 has been carried out on the profile, giving the bumper a more attractive appearance, slender and modern. The logo has been replaced with an external platelet in stainless steel with the full Equipe 4×4 Logo and not just the E.

More interesting are the technical intervention aimed to more functional the Silver Cover Winch Bumper M17, we have improved and increased the predispositions for possible additional headlights.
The anchoring support for the new dedicated Skid Plate has been prepared, that to make it even more effective to impact we have made it possible to anchor even to the bumper, thus making bumper and slide a single module.
The last inteervention, but maybe the most important, is about the possibility to change the Bumper from Winch Version to BOX Version and viceversa. In the previous version it was necessary to replace specific parts to modify it from one to another version, now is not necessary anymore, the bumper will always be in the Winch Version and can become a BOX Version by adding the dedicated kit.

For the rest, the Silver Cover Winch M17 bumper has the exact same characteristics as the previous version.

Unique of its kind, the new Equipe 4×4 modular bumper opens a new path for the preparation of your Defender. Its versatility makes it suitable to satisfy every need: use for work, gatherings with friends, club outings, more or less demanding journeys and offroad or trial.

It is the Defender and its versatility that have inspired the design of this bumper, a single accessory for multiple uses. All preparations that are carried out on an off-road vehicle tend to be specific for a particular use and often we are satisfied with what has been achieved. Now, choosing the bumper will be easier.

The Equipe 4×4 modular bumper improves the overall characteristics of the previous bumper made of tubular; given its construction in boxed sheets, it is less protruding and at the same time more spacious, as it can house large winches such as the new Warn Zeon.

It is composed of a universal central part prepared for fixing the winch, an anticorodal aluminum cover, lateral extensions and adjustable hooks. Inside, in a protected position there are the fixing brackets for housing two pairs of additional spotlights (optional), while on the upper part of the side extensions there are two useful anti-slip plates in anodized aluminum, usable as safe steps for access the luggage rack. A-bar with headlight housing or sting bar for more extreme uses are useful accessories available for completing the bumper.

If your need is to have a sturdy and functional bumper but you still have no intention of installing the winch, the most suitable version for you is the one completely closed by a door that covers a compartment where to place a strop, the crickets for towing, or any kind of useful accessory to have at hand. If in the future you realize that the winch has become an important component for the equipment of your vehicle, it will be enough to remove the door and the support brackets, here is that in a few minutes your bumper will turn into a Winch holder.

With a dedicated module it will also be possible to install the 8274 Warn vertical winch.

The aluminum cover is available in two different treatments and colors: black embossed powder coated or silver anodized.

Designed to be combined with the new range of M17 bumpers and made of 8 mm thick anticorodal aluminum, it is connected to the M17 bumper through a dedicated support, making everything much more resistant to shocks even more with the help of a reinforcement post placed in the middle of the sleigh.
The profile is made even more tapered, it connects perfectly to the bumper, making the whole surface a single surface, ideal for sliding over obstacles.
